The Abandoned Empress
As proud daughter of House Monique, Aristia was raised to become the next empress of the Castina Empire. But with the appearance of a mysterious new girl, everything has fallen apart: the Emperor has turned his back, and Aristia's miserable life as a lower queen is cut short by death. However a second chance to change her fate sees her reborn to 7 years earlier! "Is this a dream or reality? Will my destiny repeat?"
I wanna give it a zero but that's not possible so I give it a 1!!
The author knew the ML was irredeemable, so they dropped a series of 'reveals' that are very transparent asspulls to make everyone else look bad, to level the comparison. Allendis was especially hit hard by this, not only being suddenly blackwashed as a psycho, but put on a bus to drop him from the ML's competition. Even Tia's dad is made to look like a horrible father who would make all the worse decisions instead of saving his daughter.
Of course they also asspulled excuses for the ML: he didn't actually execute her father, he didn't actually want her dead, he was drugged the entire time. Some amazing drug with the hyper-specific effect of "hate and torture Tia," because he's still pretty normal with everyone else except for her. How convenient.
In the end, even when we're given this amazing premise of a 'villainess' treated unjustly and was given a second chance at life so she can write her own fate, she still 'chooses' to do the one thing she promised not to again, and chose her abuser, the ML.
It was a whole roller coaster of emotion when reading this manhwa.
This manhwa isnt a bad read but im sad about the ending being so rushed becos of the readers giving threats and bad comments about this manhwa.
Overall, the reason why i love this manhwa and is glad to find this manhwa is becos of its beautiful art and i love Carsein.

Welcome back to another Ivern review™️. I'm so sorry. Anyway, you are here, so it's too late. There is no escape, gorg.
The Abandoned Empress. Complete work, with a great translation. A rarity, in this day and age. What's not to like? Oh that's easy IT'S THAT GOD**** BLUEBER- no. The ranting will come at the right moment. So, the good parts. The art is fine, perfectly serviceable, but we do have some interesting writing. Some spicy metaphor here and there, the occasional poetic image. Nothing astonishing, but it's competent. Pacing is mostly fine too, not an easy feat with 140 chapters, even tho it slows down in the second third and becomes a bit choppy in the end.
And here we are, at the p r o b l e m a t i c parts. Charactization. It is very good, with a big but(t). LOL AM I FUNNY! In order: FL is a very fluffy, demure and innocent gurl, but not overly passive. She has, of course, the people-reading capacity of a slightly crushed amoeba. The standard, in romance. The cast is then composed by the most handsome and supportive man of the century, Daddyeh, and the RGB Boys. We have Weed, the psychotic trauma-twink, Carrot, the current reason why I drink, and Blueberry. Blueberry is a [REDACTED] piece of [REDACTED] so unforgivable I would like to [REDACTED] his [REDACTED] into [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. [REDACTED]. He is ML. Yea. You heard me.
As I said, they are good characters. Quite deep. Allendis is well written if a bit morbid, Carsein is a fun and arrogant coward, while Blueberry... is also there. No, what he did was inexcusable. No, he hasn't repented in the slightest. Stop it or I swear to Gôd I WILL smack you. In conclusion, they are a bit too drama prone, and very indecisive, but what can you do. The real problem here is Blueberry's arc, or lack there of. His resolution is, let's admit it, a cop out, and FL is a fool. She grew because SHE LIVED IT ALL, he god**** didn't. No amount of convenient plotwists can change that. I'll concede he is not the worst character of the manga: that title goes, as in fiction so in reality, to Gôd. That sick, sick voyeur.
Do I recommend it? Yes. But [REDACTED] Ruveliss. He knows what he did.
