Love Doesn’t Matter
상관없어 사랑 따위
Love Doesn't Matter manhwa, , One might think being engaged to Hadius Myer, the son of one of the most prestigious families in the kingdom, sounds like a fairy tale, but for Emilia Bern, a commoner, her reality is nothing but a nightmare. Tired of the constant criticism she receives from other nobles and her fianc's cold attitude, all Emilia wants now is to end this charade. But when Hadius turns 19, his attitude suddenly changes. The truth is, Hadius has always been in love with Emilia, but he has been keeping his distance from her because of his unstable position within his family. Unfortunately, Hadius has already lost Emilia's trust and must prove his sincerity to gain it back. Will the two be able to overcome adversity and hardship and find a way to be together?
People are dumb "gnegne i wanted a sweet story and this is not, so bad lol" that doesnt mean you have to give it one star.
Its well written and different, i eish the author gave much more psychological weight to things that happen to the protagonist but hey im reading manhwas not dostoevskj
For me its a 3.5 but ill give it a five to balance the dumb reviews
This is not how the setting should work, and it's fine. But sometimes we ought to be reminded that in those times the protagonists were men. Men, even better if old and most of all noble. Look at Mrs. Cünt Myerbriggs or whatever: even after committing every dirty sin imaginable, she is still squirming under her son's threats.
So let it be no mistake: this is a villainess-trope-based manga, and its protagonist is Hadius. It's a story about a sad, vile bàstard. FL is also there, with a strong personality and yet feeble influence, but the plot revolves around the only one with agency: ML. Who's Hadius, then? He is a troubled man, grown up in siege from every direction. Any cost is fine, to get what he wants. But will he able to stomach the price? If love doesn't matter, and yet it is still what he is doing everything for, what will be the aftermath of it all?
That is the question. A question answered with excellent writing. You may not like the characters, even despise them, but this thing is written with a brain. Remember: we are cheating. We know what they think. See their interactions from their own limited viewpoints, and the cast makes for plenty of sense. Disgust, too.
Same kudos go to the art, at least for the men. Women have some off-model problems with their eyes, but it's still all very pretty and sparkly.
It's a 9+ on the Ivern Scale™️. Could be even higher, with a more stable art style and future character development. I'll wait and watch: if the spoilers are to be trusted, the writer will have to jump through a loooot of loops to make me stomach the "Hadius goes full 9/11 mode" arc.
