Meh on Return of the Legend
Actually its not that bad. Its quite nice to read the plot is a thumbs up for me. But the problem is we easily forgot about the other characters as some of them didn't have a remarkable role that can give us an impression.
I love everything except for the harem. Totally recommended if you dont have something to read or if you're quite bored.

Rocks on Return of the Mad Demon
I was going to compare MC to an avalanche. A disastrous, unstoppable disaster, plowing through human structures, and silly convictions. But I would've been wrong. You can see the snow piling up. You can trigger it with sound. It is not an appropriate comparison. Zaha is a g****** volcano. Is that a funny smelling hill? It's round on top. Kinda cute. All kinds of greens blossom on it. Let's cultivate grapes on its slop- BAM! PYROCLASTIC ERUPTION! Why? How? What's happening? Who knows what the fu** is going on in Earth's deep, imperscrutable he**-bowels! It rains death now! You suffocate, and die. You are cooked to death, and die. Maybe you were masturbating. Have fun being shamelessly caked into solid ash, forever captured and embarrassed in the act.
So yeah, Zaha is a volcano. A jovial, funny, murderous heap of searing violence. Unpredictable, nonsensical, but if you respect him, he is gonna make your soil fertile and your harvest plentiful. Just don't pi** him off and stay at a safe distance, or he is gonna blow up on your face.
As for the rest of the manga, it is extraordinary. The art is extraordinary, so graceful in contrast with the themes: the masks alone can tell you how great the design in this is. The writing is a masterful example of deadpan humor. Which is, incidentally, very rare. It's just so, so funny. You gotta be very clever to be so consistently funny. It's written with a brain, you can count on that.
Characterization is flattened on the humor. Honestly, it's a good trade-off. Who cares about verosimilitude if I can watch people sh** themselves in a Murim manga. Ah, yeah, it's Murim. Somewhat. Not really focused on the fights, mostly one-sided ones. They have nice choreographies, but this is about Zaha being a whimsical calamity. Not really a high-stakes fight carousel.
Its only sin is being a tad repetitive. But still, a rare jewel of comedy. 5 stars.
