I love this mahwa

It's a very good manga. It makes you laugh sometimes and maybe, it's a little cliché but the protagonist makes everything more funny and as the chapters keep going, it makes you wonder "what will happen now?"

Amazing manhwa!  Probably my favorite out of all I've read!

This story was incredibly well written, the drama, events, and characters all fit in well.

The beginning and rising part of the story was planned out quite well - the casual cliché (that I never grow tired of) "Abused one is saved for the use of another - later develops to genuine feelings" entry.

The authors used a good plot for that - the storyline never faltered.

The background information on Ian was shortly expressed, nevertheless, it spread across the message nearly flawless (in my opinion). Given only a handful of panels were used.

Sir Raymond's background information was a little more spread out throughout the story, it was a heavy factor that added up to his person. It explained his determination and resolve to achieve his goal, it was clear how his view wavered when beloved Ian came into play.

All of the character's personalities fit into the story very well. Personally, I was a little (quite) upset when Ian's condition had gotten so dire right before his kidnapping, and the fact he chose not to return to the manor with Sir Raymond -however the following events tied all loose ends, and the entirety of the story was wholesome.

Sir Raymond made connections with nobles and aristocrats through expected means, all part of their "society" and "sophistication" - it did anger me, (My preference is faithfulness and dedication, Sir Raymond's actions tested Ian - I loved Ian's loyalty).

When the story began, I NEVER imagined an important figure of royalty would come into play as she did, it added drama and suspense to the plot - it was well put together, not overdone nor lacking. It might have popped a blood vessel, though.

Another incredible contributing factor was Ian's art and painting - many stories emphasize on a key trait of one of the characters (usually the uke) that had been a major relation to the whole purpose of the seme's involvement. Many stories, however, sometimes loose sight of it, or the subject becomes absent until it is convienent to use.

Not here. Ian's painting was constant throughout the story, and continued to play a major role, that is - in my opinion - one of this story's best qualities. Along with the art style of the art, and the art of the characters itself - it was constant and very detailed. (Especially for the Victorian era, very well drawn - I've hardly seen another artwork like this)

The epilogues (especially the last one) finished the story well, with satisfaction to finish the line - that, for me, is what made it take so long to want to reread it (because the story felt so finished).

Truly one of the greatest pieces I've ever read, and I thank all the authors, illustrators, and and translators involved.

The relationship displayed seemed to be going - in a way - at an accelerated pace, yet the story in the whole picture made the relationship take a little bit slower to progress (Which I personally thought was better - I like slow burns).

Unlike other stories that follow the 'using of the partner for benefit' cliché with a 'I feel so betrayed and will cut this person out of my life - only to either be drawn to them or them chasing the uke out of regret' cliché , Jo Yul's loyalty to Luan did not waver - I don't think. The part where he was like, "Wait..." was more his curiosity (in my opinion).

The images were of substantial quality, and the color was well fit into the scenes, (I had thought - to myself - as I read, "The pictures look like they went from colored pencils to colored markers. The design saturation was likely what had changed at time), I thought that was one of the key factors that contributed to making the images so good.

Overall, the story was wholesome and figured together well - however, I did notice that the detail of Yul's singing was not as focused on. Mostly when it was convenient to mention, (but after Yul was given the private studio, the singing was brought up more often)

I very much liked this story, (and will likely reread it later). I thank all Authors illustrators, and translators involved in making this peice.

Mmm, nice ending for the main stories - and now we move to the side stories.

But first, a review!

I had once, a couple times, tried reading this book - but left. I didn't think it would show any action or legitmate movemnt forward in the relationship, it was obviously going to be a slow-burn with how it started and the amount of chapters it has. (I usually don't have much patience to wait-and-watch).

But for a bit, by chance, I felt particularly adventurous and decided to give it another go. I'm glad I did.

This book brought realistic and wholesome moments in - it showed the reality of what a relationship could go through, unaccepting families, loss, rejection, and misunderstandings. But Li Huan and Yu Yang pulled through them all in the end. Although there weren't as many sexual interactions as other books use to display the lovers' passions, they didn't need them to show these twos' affection.

The plot gave pretty noticeable roles to the side characters, many possibilities for closure endings - especially those "Best Bros" who gave their all in supporting the lovely's journey. Many clichés were used, but they never get old, really - they're just as sweet as the first time I saw them. I thank the Authors, Illustrators, and Translators for this wonderfully wholesome slow-burn. (Loved the usage of "Here U Are" IN the story, that was unique - roll them credits)

Highlight to the newest line I've heard, and one I wish to become another cliché one day - "The ones who arrive at the same place are walking the same path, right?" (Spoken by Sir Uncle Pan, the bar owner - chapter 62).
