Pretty good on The Lone Necromancer
If you don’t want to be disappointed, stop at chapter 209. Everything that comes after feels like a way to artificially keep the story alive, with a lot of nonsense added in. In my opinion, the story could have ended properly at chapter 209, and I honestly have no idea what the author is trying to achieve with the current direction.
As for those first 209 chapters, the story is more than decent. If you think a bit, you can figure out the plot fairly early, but it’s still enjoyable to read. There’s no poorly written romance (in fact, there’s no romance at all), and it focuses mostly on action in a modern fantasy setting.
In the end, it’s a decent story to read and enjoy during some free time—exactly what this kind of story is meant to do.
